I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
