Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
